Areas we cover
PianoSpeed are London's specialist piano movers, covering every London postcode with a fully insured, piano-trained crew and an instant fixed price you can book online in 60 seconds.
Book onlineSPECIALIST, NOT GENERAL REMOVALS
A piano is heavy, unevenly balanced and easily damaged, so it should never be moved by a general furniture crew. Every PianoSpeed move is carried out by trained piano handlers and protected to a standard a removals firm cannot match.
Your piano travels in a top of the range, triple-thickness, fitted transit cover, not loose blankets. On grands and baby grands, the legs and pedals are each protected in their own individual padded bags and stowed together in a heavy duty crate for additional in-transit protection. We move on padded skid boards and use stair-climbers and spider dollies for safe, controlled handling on stairs and through tight access.

BOOK IN 60 SECONDS
There is no waiting for a callback and no site survey. Answer a few quick questions about your piano and your two addresses, see an instant fixed price, and confirm your slot.
You get one set delivery day for your postcode, which means a planned route and a predictable day rather than a vague window. Same-week slots are available across Greater London. We confirm a 3-hour target window the day before. You can also call 020 7164 0000.
EVERY LONDON BOROUGH
We move pianos for private homes, music schools, recording studios, hotels and performance venues right across Greater London. Our one-day-per-postcode schedule gives each area a regular planned route. We also cover Surrey and GB mainland.
WHAT WE MOVE
We handle every type of piano: upright, baby grand, grand and concert grand, plus digital pianos, Clavinovas, harpsichords and stage pianos, including antique and high value instruments. Moving a grand is specialist work, so if you have one see our dedicated grand piano movers service. Tell us the make and model when you book and we bring the right crew and equipment.
On the day, the crew protect the piano in a fitted transit cover and, for a grand, remove the legs and pedal lyre, stand the body on its straight side on a padded skid board, and crate the legs and pedals separately. The piano is strapped securely and carried upright to the van. At the other end we place it in your room of choice and remove the packaging. Tuning settles after a move, so we recommend a tuning a week or two after delivery once the piano has acclimatised.

STAIRS AND ACCESS
We handle stairs, steps, tight turns and restricted parking every day across London, from period terraces to mansion blocks with no lift. Access affects the work involved, so stairs, the floor level and whether there is a lift are calculated automatically when you get your online quote. Stair access is chargeable and worked out from the floor and lift details you enter.
For upper-floor flats where the piano cannot go up the stairs, we arrange a crane or external hoist and confirm the method and price in advance.
STORAGE AND TRUST
Need your piano stored as well as moved? We offer climate-controlled piano storage through our sister company PianoStorage.co.uk, part of the Pianospeed Group. We collect, store at 18 to 21 degrees Celsius and 45 to 55 percent humidity, and redeliver tuned when you are ready. This is ideal for renovations, probate and between-homes moves.
PianoSpeed have decades of experience and thousands of completed piano deliveries. We are trusted by Yamaha Music Europe, leading London piano dealers, schools, hotels and thousands of private homes. Every move is fully insured to your instrument's value and carried out by trained piano handlers.
