Book onlineCROYDON COVERAGE
Croydon sits in south London on the edge of Surrey, and it is a mixed area to move pianos in. There are tall Victorian terraces around the town centre, 1930s semis in places like Shirley and Sanderstead, modern flats near East Croydon station, and larger detached homes out towards Selsdon and Coulsdon. We move pianos in all of them.
We cover the CR postcode area, which runs from central Croydon out to Purley, South Croydon, Thornton Heath, Norbury, Addiscombe, Shirley, Selsdon, Sanderstead, Coulsdon and Kenley. Just over the boundary we also serve Bromley, Sutton, Mitcham and the rest of Greater London and Surrey.

BOOKING AND ROUTING
We run one set delivery day per postcode area. Croydon and the CR postcodes are served on a Wednesday, so your move joins a planned route through the area rather than a one-off trip across London. This keeps the price down and the day predictable.
You book online at book.pianospeed.com. Enter the piano, both addresses and the access details, and you get a fixed price straight away. There is no need to wait for a callback or a survey. The day before your move we confirm a 3-hour target window so you know roughly when the crew will arrive.

PIANOS AND PROTECTION
We handle every type of piano. That means upright and overstrung uprights, baby grands, grands and concert grands, and digital instruments including Clavinovas and stage pianos. Tell us the make and model when you book and we bring the right crew and equipment for the job.
Every piano travels in a top of the range, triple-thickness fitted transit cover, not loose blankets thrown over the top. On grands and baby grands, the legs and pedals each go into their own padded bags and are stowed together in a heavy duty crate. This is the difference between a specialist piano mover and a general removals firm, and it is why the piano arrives in the condition it left.
LOCAL ACCESS
Access varies a lot across Croydon. Victorian terraces near the town centre often have narrow hallways and steep staircases, the flats around East and West Croydon can mean upper floors and tight lifts, and steeper streets out towards Sanderstead and Kenley can limit where we park the van.
We plan the parking and the route before the day. Where a piano cannot go up the stairs, we can arrange a crane lift. Stairs and access are chargeable and are calculated from the number of floors and whether there is a lift, all priced into your online quote so there are no surprises on the day. Every move is fully insured and handled by a trained crew with purpose-built equipment.
